Project Summary

As a resident of Heritage Palms, Chris Grundy stepped in on a pro bono basis to help rescue this capital project after it fell significantly behind schedule and began facing serious coordination issues.
 

Recognizing misalignment at the leadership level, Chris advised the removal of the initial Owner’s Representative and helped source and onboard a qualified replacement. Throughout this process and the remainder of the project, he continued to provide hands-on change order management, Board advisory, and construction coordination support - serving as the critical communication link between club leadership, the architect, and the contractor team.

Project Scope

• Demolition of most of the existing amenity building, preserving only the structural shell
• Addition of a new kitchen extension and full interior build-out of a restaurant, bar, and golf turn facility
• Construction of a new outdoor Tiki bar, swimming pool, hot tub, and bocce courts
• Extension of the parking lot

Result

This project exemplifies Grundy CMC’s ability to step into a struggling project, realign stakeholders, and restore forward momentum—all while minimizing further disruption and financial impact to the membership.
